Human Percy and Old Slow Coach

Basically, the title speaks for the image. Least, this is how I think Old Slow Coach would look like as a human.

This is part of my human Thomas & Friends series set in a boarding school the Fat Controller inherited.

And there's quite an interesting story between the two.

Percy was feeling a little left out since he seemed to be the only kid in Sodor High U who didn't have a significant other. After all, Thomas has three wives, Emily, Annie & Clarabel, and adopted Rosie (see here; fav.me/d852qv2), Toby has Mavis, Edward was with Molly, Peter Sam's got Rusty, even Bill & Ben have Pip & Emma.
So, Thomas agrees to help Percy with a "Big Brother" program, whilst they help out at a care home. Thankfully they come across one resident who looks like she doesn't belong there, for she's much younger looking than the others. The head attendant told them that she was a coma patient who'd woken up, but had come down with amnesia, didn't have a clue who she was or why she was in hospital at the time which gave her the name "Old Slow Coach" - but that didn't stop her from being a great cook. Yet, sadly she was going to be evicted because she didn't meet the age requirement necessary for folks to live there...even though she'd been living with them for 6 years.

So when trouble breaks out in the school kitchens (all Spencer's trickery in trying to make Edward cook up a gourmet special to show the school serves good food to a party of the school directors), Percy and Thomas come out on top with suggestions on hiring Old Slow Coach as the school's new cook, Spencer's plan of humiliation goes down the drain, Old Slow Coach gets a new job and a new home & Percy has that significant other in his life. Both got on pretty well with each other, but no one could understand why...

(Though later, it turned out that Old Slow Coach was actually Percy's own mother. She had gone into a coma shortly after giving birth to Percy and the hospital listed her as dead, and sent Percy to an orphanage before making the discovery that Old Slow Coach was actually in a coma, and she'd been like that for 5 years before finally waking up)
