The story main revolves around Emmet, as he encounters a magical, creative and musical journey through many worlds in order to rescue Wyldstyle, who gets kidnapped by Robotic Henchmen, and become a better Master Builder, by building encouragement and bridges connecting the realms he visits.
In each world he travels to, Emmet encounters the heroes, villains, events and activities each world has to behold, from the Speedor Tournament in Chima to the glitz and glamour of Heartlake City. Each world offers its challenges to Emmet, who solves them in his usual slap-stick way, or by the heroes of the worlds doing it and Emmet stating that was his plan all along.
With each adventure, he gets close to rescuing Wyldstyle, only to have her snatched away through another porthole, by she leaves him a clue telling which world she and her captors are heading for next.
The finale ends at the main Dimensions gateway, with a full head-on battle as Emmet has to tackle Lord Vortex, who's brought all the other villains Emmet tackled, but just as it looks bad, Emmet gets immediate backup from those he'd helped, plus other Master Builders (plus with the LEGO Friends singing a victory song), and a combo of shared powers commence. As a result, Lord Vortex and the other villains are flung back through the portals to either their own worlds, or are trapped in limbo, Emmet rescues Wyldstyle and is proclaimed a Master Team Builder, the highest honour above being "The Special".

I came up with this after hanging out at my local ice rink in Bracknell with some of my fellow LLWR workers, and after a bit, I began liking of increasing LEGO's popularity with something new. Now that they've done a movie, how's about trying something else.
I mean, if Disney can do it, so can LEGO.
And who knows what shows might follow on from the likes of this; Legends of Chima on Ice? LEGO Friends on Ice? Maybe even Clutch Powers on Ice? Possibilities are endless!!!
