Shows that Went Wrong via Writers by CCB-18 Shows that Went Wrong via Writers by CCB-18
Now this I feel very strongly about, as although I have nothing against these shows, 2 with which I have grown up on in my childhood, I have to say that the writers, or somebody on the production team made some very wrong mistakes, and I'd like to express them, hoping that maybe they're watching this and realising their errors in seeing that all these were bad ideas...Frollo angry

1. :iconlegoplz:'s Legends of Chima TV Series. Subject Matter: Romantic Roles
Now I have nothing much against Season 1/Civil War issues of Chima - it was only afterwards it made little or no scene to me (I mean come on, the Phoenix Tribe were a pretty lazy bunch weren't they? Mount Cavora was being besieged by Scorpions, Bats & Spiders - even Spinlynn in a desperate final bid, enveloped it in webbing - and they did nothing to help...yet they're supposed to be living on top of it(!) And it's not still some half-frozen zombie warriors turn up that they finally show their faces)...though, at least I can spin off using the products myself. But there was one element that didn't work out and that was the Eris romantical relationship with Rogon. :baffled:

Come on viewers, we all know it's been LAVALxERIS since the very start! It would be like Macy dating Axl in NEXO Knights or Lisa marrying Ralph Wiggam in The Simpsons. Those two simply aren't compatible. Although Eris cannot tell a decent joke to save her life, she's a great reader of books, and he probably can't follow the plot line of "The Teddy Bears Picnic".Sarcastic la

In my opinion, what was the point in trying to tell the writers via the LEGO Messaging Boards with the corrections to this right up to the (supposing - there maybe a new series in the near future) last episode, if we simply get overlooked and they carry on regardless? Baffled fury

I'm sure many a :iconlegoplz: or any decent Chima fan would agree with that.

2. Thomas & Friends. Subject Matter: Rosie's New Look.

In one phrase; BLUH BLUH Awful! (I hope this isn't a permanent look)

What are we doing here, people, reverting back to the original book illustrations(?) Now, I've got nothing against the Reverend Awdry's books. The books in themselves are beautiful, and we haven't had any actual adaptions from between Season 4 to the resent stories of the Arelsdale Railway (minus story #1 from the book about them) but getting rid of Rosie's unique colour that makes her stand out? Britney Spears Can't do anything about it I mean, she looks like Lilly from :iconwildnorwester:'s Sodor: the Modern Years and Victor Tanzig's Stories of Sodor series on Youtube. Especially when using NWR logos, none of the other engines or rolling stock have had in the entire series....

It's like what I said about Nick the Gormiti Earth Lord from Season 2 onwards when he went for a bald-headed look; Changes in Earth Gormiti Lord or :iconlkhff:'s Maria the Female Beast's upgrades that make her look like a maned husky from her more original simply elegantly wolfess look; fav.me/d9k2pn9 -- not really doing them any favours, now. It can also be said for Danielle from :iconkevinandkell: for when she had her hair braided from late in her pregnancy in late 2006 to late December 2014, or when :iconjamesfan1991: remodelled the figure of Lady for his Thomas & Friends Animated videos on YouTube; The Sodor Engine's Overhaul (many viewers disagreed with that should you view the comments here; www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIr84i… ).

In other words, all of these were unnecessary developments that weren't entirely needed.

What WERE the writers/designers thinking off when that came about? [Sergeant Murphy - Richard Scarry] Shocked  I mean, it's only a repeat of the story chapter "Henry Sees Red", except that wasn't long lasting - which I hope this isn't either. I just hope it's an adaption of said episode...

Next thing you know, we'll be having Donald & Douglas painted blue, and all the Skarloey Railway engines (minus Duke) painted red (though Rheneas did resemble Duncan when he got painted yellow at the end of Blue Mountain Mystery), that's all I can say... (I mean one YouTube video shows a video of them burying their original TOMY/TOMICA Rosie model because of this new paintwork).

I just hope Rosie will return to her original colour soon as it suited her.

3. Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Subject Matter: Splinter's Death.
Now this really is the limit to me!  Angered I've like the new series, and I've tolerated with a few flaws, such as April's falling out with the Turtles following her father's mutation (even though it wasn't their fault), Mona Lisa being an alien instead of an Earth Mutant and Irma being an undercover Krang Robot, but this is too much in my books.

What was anybody there actually thinking at the time?! They just can't bump off a vital character like that — TWICE even (though the first time round, he got saved by his sons, thanks to David Tennant's Fugitoid) How could they even do such a thing a second time???!!!???
Splinter's much too important a character to be killed off just like that >Discord's finger snaps <. True, he's has gotten into almost impossible scraps and near-death experiences though the entire franchise from being possessed by the Rat King in both original and Nickelodeon series, to nearly being crushed underfoot by Dragon Lord in the short-lived live series, but he's always been able to bounce back.

Why, without Splinter, there isn't much for story, as he's the anchor to steady the plot and keep his "family" in order.
I really think this is the main part in the whole series where the writers really messed up somehow, for you cannot have TMNT without Splinter. It would be simply unheard of.

And I'm sure many a TMNT fan, indeed a Splinter fan, would agree with that.

*

I just hope now that someone, somewhere, somehow will see that these writers made very serious mistakes, and that these maybe corrected soon...Foxy's Hatching a Plan (Chat Icon)

Thanks for viewing.

It's just...not right. After all, she'll look like the W&S engines from :iconwildnorwester:'s Sodor the Modern Years, or Victor Tangiz's Tales of Sodor on YouTube, or just a big Skarleoy engine from RWS...

And besides, red's too common a colour among the engines. Least with a splendid ordinal coat, she stands out a lot better, and it's another step in the door for liveries of a different colour on locomotives...

I don't know. He just did...

...maybe he thought that that the absurd new coat would be the demise of Rosie's character all together, just fading away into the background...

I don't see what's wrong with Rosie's new look. I think it makes her look good, and her name is Rosie, Rosie is named after a rose which is a red flower, so maybe the writers decided to have Rosie repainted into NWR red colours. Besides, the pink livery was getting a bit old.

Furthermore, there have been fan fictions of Rosie being painted blue or just pink, maybe the writers decided to have a permanent red livery for Rosie to give the name a meaning. Besides, it's Rosie's choice on what colour she wants to be painted in.

I don't mind fanfictions, you scan do whatever you want in a fanfic (so long as it's tasteful to the viewers), so that's okay by me. Why, I myself, covered Rosie with black spots, just as a Dalmatian costume...

And anyway, who says the pink livery's getting old? It makes her stand out - especially if she was in a yard full of Sodor Mail vans.

I see.

Well, for one, she wasn't being used a lot, and second, pink's more of an undercoat. Just ask James.

You forgot Herny. He also had to go out in his undercoat in the books, and was horrified when TFC joked about halving all his engines painted the same.

That wasn't an undercoat, Henry's blue livery was Henry's choice, but when everyone kept mistaking him for Gordon, he chose to go back to being green.

Also, I don't recall the Fat Controller joking about having all his engines painted the same.

That's different. Henry was needs urgently, and so the workmen didn't have time to fully repaint him, and so Henry just went with it.

1. You are aware that picture of Rosie you have there is photo-shopped, right?

2. How come you give all of seasons 8-16 a pass and whine about Rosie being repainted red.

3. Season 21 hasn't even be released (www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_F0dA…) if you're not a fan of her repaint I understand, but if your gonna start complaining about the episode(s) she's going to appear in, your pathetic. Season's 17-20 may not have been perfect, but the writers have churned out some really good material during that time, and I strongly believe S21 will be no exception, just look at S20!

1. No, I didn't know that.

2. I have no objections against any of the seasons, but as I've said, that this is a totally unnessary and unrequired development for Rosie. Unlike James, Mike, Skarleoy, Rheneas & Arthur, red doesn't suit Rosie in my books, whilst her pink and grey paint does. But it's not like I'm going to merely dismiss her existence because of this.

3. I was only guessing about Season 21, so I don't know what's to happen outside of Journey Beyond Sodor - which I'm really looking forward to watch.

Neither am I going to complain about the episodes she's been in, as Rosie was another step into gender equality for railway engines, or the seasons you mentioned.
I have to admit it was nice seeing the Reverend's stories being brought back to life once again, and I wonder which books will be next. I for one, am still hoping they'll bring in the Culdee Fell Railway engines in, as I'd certainly like to hear how they'd sound (would they really have a Swiss accent like most of the Skarleoy engines have Welsh ones?)

I hope these will satisfy your mind.

How is #2 a bad idea? Rosie had little personality to begin with. I'm not usually a person to criticize other peoples' opinions, but what you're saying about Rosie being repainted is complete nonsense. And yes, it will be permanent.

Also, how does Rosie look like Lily? The only similarity is their livery, but that's it. That's like saying Edward looks like Gordon just because they're blue tender engines. At least the writers are acknowledging that that North Western Railway is a thing.

How do you know it's based off of Henry Sees Red? We haven't even seen the new Rosie in action yet. If they were to adapt said story, they'd have Henry as the lead character, not Rosie.

Basically, this livery "issue" isn't really one. It's still a show about talking trains on a fictional railway and the only thing that's changed is that the writers are acknowledging the shows' roots. If you REALLY want something to complain about, I've three words - THE GREAT RACE.

Well, I just don't think it suits her, and I'm sure many fans agree. (As I said, one fan was so upset he buried his Rosie)

If it were a sister or brother engine to Rosie, that'd be different...

And in responce to some of your comments;

1. "How's does Rosie look like Lily?" Well, in the distance and from the rear it does (so you wouldn't realise that till you saw her freckled face), and therefore, making it look like the producers brought a TTTE OC/fan character to life. Now, that I would certainly accept, but not this.

2. "...saying Edward looks like Gordon just because they're blue tender engines..." That would more effect Henry from the books as he was blue from the end of book 1 to the start of "Troublesome Engines". So again, storybook origins and adaptations are brought in. After all, in The Adventure Begins, James started off in his black livery, as was depicted from the books, and ended up in his well-known red with black stripes.

3. "How do you know it's based off of Henry Sees Red?" I'm only guessing here since we've only been reintroduced adaptations from the books to the TV show after so long, and sometimes many things get turned around from the original plot. Ex. In the new Captain Scarlet series, Lt. Green's role was played by a female - so this could be in turn with equal oppertunities and all that.

4. And I've got nothing to complain about The Great Race. After all, there were some brilliant songs I've already parodied from it. It was nothing more than an adaptation of the musical Starlight Express by Andrew Llyod-Webber - except without the Rolling Stock characters.

That's all I have to say on the matter of Rosie's absurd new livery.

Basically, it just doesn't suit her in my books at all...

Honestly, those "fans" are being stupid and petty. I think red suits Rosie much better than lavender; roses are (usually) red, so it suits her name. I mean, have you ever seen a lavender rose?

Also, how is red an absurd livery for Rosie? Are we saying James shouldn't be red?

To put it in perspective, pink is a stereotypical girly color, and the fact that Rosie's persona in season 10 was stereotypical didn't make it any better, and it went against what a tomboy is.

You should do more of these, I'd add "Total Drama" in both "Action" and "All Stars/Pakitew Island" to the list, the new writers basically admitted to not watching any episodes of the older seasons when writing for the new ones, and it showed PAINFULLY!
